More than a skincare brand…
Hi, I’m Janelle Kujawa – a maternity nurse, medical mom, and the founder of Koko and Shae, a skincare line named after my two daughters, Kourtney (“Koko”) and Shaelyn.
Koko and Shae was born out of necessity and love. My daughter Kourtney was born with a rare and painful skin disorder that required constant, gentle care. As a mom and nurse, I began making natural skincare products to help soothe and heal her fragile skin. Along the way, I discovered just how many moms and babies struggle with skin issues — from cradle cap and dry patches to severe eczema.
In 2022, we lost Kourtney at the age of 25... but her legacy lives on in every jar and bottle. Koko and Shae is more than a skincare brand — it’s a tribute to her strength, and a mission to help others find gentle, effective care for their own families.
Our products are made with clean, simple ingredients like tallow and coconut oil — ones I trust, and used on my own children. While there’s no one-size-fits-all solution to skincare, I’ve seen these products bring real healing and relief.
